VISIT BY TABAN LO LIYONG

 Poet, academic and writer of fiction and literary criticism from South Sudan, Taban Lo Liyong, paid a courtesy call to the Department of Literature on Monday 9th February 2024.

Taban Lo Liyong has a long history of working at the University of Nairobi for several years, from 1968, first as a research fellow in the Institute of African Studies, then as a lecturer in the Department of Literature .
