Sharon Anyango Ochola participated in the Student Exchange Program 2025/2026 between the University of Nairobi and Humboldt University at the Institute of Asian and African Studies in Berlin. The program offered her a valuable opportunity for academic growth, cultural exchange, and professional development in the field of literature.

She benefited greatly from the Research Colloquium, which enhanced her M.A. thesis through insightful feedback and academic discussions. She also engaged in interdisciplinary courses such as Literature and Film in Africa and the Diaspora, which broadened her understanding of film studies and literary adaptation. The Humboldt University Library provided extensive digital and print resources that supported her research work effectively.

Beyond academics, Sharon participated in cultural activities including Swahili classes, museum visits, film festivals, and exploration of Berlin’s cultural heritage. She expresses sincere gratitude to the University of Nairobi, Humboldt University, and supporting partners for the life-changing opportunity and lasting academic experience.
