University of Mayotte President Visits Department of Literature During Documentary Storytelling Master Class

On Monday, 12 May 2026, the President of University of Mayotte paid a courtesy visit to the Department of Literature during the ongoing Master Class in Documentary Storytelling.

The visit highlighted the growing academic collaboration and shared commitment to advancing creative storytelling, research, and cultural exchange through documentary practice. Participants in the master class had the opportunity to engage with the President and discuss the importance of documentary storytelling in preserving narratives and shaping public discourse.

Masterclass in Documentary Production Hosted by the Department of Literature in Collaboration with University of Mayotte

On Friday 8th May 2026, the Department of Literature welcomed a distinguished team from Mayotte University for an intensive Masterclass in Documentary Production. This collaborative initiative brought together students, and aspiring filmmakers to explore the art and craft of documentary storytelling. A special highlight of the masterclass was the engagement with the University of Nairobi’s French students, creating a unique cross-cultural exchange. Participants collaborated closely with the Mayotte team, gaining firsthand experience in international perspectives on documentary filmmaking.

Visit by French Embassy Representatives to Strengthen Collaboration with the CRKF

 

The Kenyan Resource Centre for French (CRKF) at the University of Nairobi today received a visit from two representatives of the French Embassy: Ms. El Abbouini Myriam and Ms. Anne Élisabeth.

 

This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the current needs of the university community and to explore various avenues for improvement aimed at strengthening the quality and impact of our services.
