On Tuesday 30th June 2026, The Department of Literature was delighted to welcome back veteran filmmaker, educator, and social justice activist Ron Mulvihill, who paid a courtesy visit to the department and met with the Chairperson, Professor Miriam Musonye.

French Resource Centre Receives New Equipment for the Employability Corner

The Department is pleased to acknowledge the generous support of the Embassy of France through the donation of equipment for the establishment of a French Language Employability Corner in the French Resource Centre.

 

The items received include a carpet, two tablet stands, a sofa set, and a table. These resources will help create a comfortable and interactive space where students can access information, explore career opportunities, and develop skills that enhance the employability of French language learners.

 

French Embassy and AgroParisTech Partner with UoN to Modernize French Resource Center Through SHIFT-KF Support

On Friday, 12th June 2026, the Department of Literature hosted a courtesy visit from representatives of the French Embassy and AgroParisTech (France), including delegates from the School of Business and the Faculty of Agriculture. The visit followed a request for a consultative meeting on the modernization of the French Resource Center at the University of Nairobi, aimed at strengthening its role in supporting academic and cultural engagement.
